Dr. Janelle Doolittle
I am a licensed Naturopathic physician. I earned my doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, one of the world’s leading academic centers for natural medicine. My bachelor’s degree is in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota. I have previous experience in the medical field as a pharmacy technician and as a researcher through several grant opportunities.
During my studies at Bastyr University, my passion for food as medicine flourished. I completed extra course work in nutrition including cooking classes focused on a whole foods diet. During my training I also engaged in research on eating behaviors and their affect on health. I wrote and published an article on mindful eating. I also took extra course work in the areas of homeopathy, craniosacral therapy and visceral manipulation.
Following completion of my medical degree at Bastyr University, I completed a residency program at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health. This training included clinical rotations as well as teaching experience and took place at the Bastyr Center as well as at community clinics, serving low income and minority patients, across the Seattle area.
I am a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) and the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians (WANP).
In my free time I am at play with my husband and English mastiff. We spend our time in our church community and in our vegetable garden. I am passionate about advocating for people’s access and use of organic foods, including community gardens and farmer’s markets, etc.
Dr. Gabriella Cunha
I am a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario, and a new resident of beautiful Port Angeles!
My naturopathic education included additional training in Sports Medicine, pain management, Fibromyalgia, and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (AKA Chronic Fatigue Syndrome).
With a professional background in dance and yoga, I developed a passion for the healing qualities of movement, and for creatively resolving the many barriers that people experience in their efforts to be healthy movers, not least of which are pain and physical limitations.
My aim is to help people who are interested in addressing their health at a root-cause level to develop lifestyle habits that improve well-being and deter disease, reducing the long-term risk of disease development. With a view that energy is the fundamental element of our physical body and all of its intricate workings, I am interested in understanding how the psyche, emotions, stressors, and habits contribute to imbalances in the body. Beyond a deep care and commitment to effectively trouble-shoot your immediate health needs, my goal is to help patients establish a better balance in their body systems to feel more vibrant each day.
In my free time, I like to dance, do yoga, play piano, spend time in nature and sunshine, and travel.
